Here I am in Greenville, North Carolina, when up pops an M715 in Kentucky. For $2 500.

Tough to tell much from the crappy photos, but I don’t know whether or not to hope it’s still available by the time I head back west . I really don’t need it, but I sure as hell want it.

The winch is worth that if it’s been serviced and working, at least the M37 winches are. My friend has two of these on his property, both were fire trucks. I would get one if I had the space, or my wife would not kill me. They would cruise faster than my M37 on the highway, even with my rear end gears changed.

The winch caught my eye too, but I don’t know anything about that brand,  and I don’t generally trust that they’re going to be well-maintained.

Braden is the main supplier of winches for military vehicles going back to all the old power wagon WCs . That being said they are PTO and dangerous as fuck, a lot of people have been hurt by them . If I ever put one on my M37 I will not be using it!

A complete restoration of everything, from top to bottom (called “rotisserie”, because the body is taken off the frame and literally placed on a rotisserie), but I’d replace many of the mechanical pieces with modern iterations (ABS, new transmission, new axles, etc).

Bad things, man. BAD. THINGS.

I wish I had the skills, tools, enclosed space, and functioning  back to do that.

A well-restored M715 is a true thing of beauty.

You know those chickens you buy at the grocery store that are delicious?

Just like that.

There’s one rolling around my area.  Dark grey, lifted, new updated hardware, PERFECT.  I can never get a pic, though.
